Peg it Downe
Next term's camp is set to be held at Downe Scout campsite. The format of this camp will be an activity camp and we'll attempt to fill it to the max with exciting things to do. This will be held on 20-22nd June. Put it in the diaries!!!

Boot Camp
The weekend camp at Knole Park was really great. Although we only had one full day we managed to do lots of things. The food was all right (we had to think of and cook our own meals). The definite highlight was air rifle shooting in which Matt did very well. The weather was a bit miserable at times but we were quite lucky as it was forecasted as heavy rain all weekend! The best meal was breakfast as it was cooked by the leaders!

Summer Camp
This year's summer camp will be held from 16th till 23rd August and is set to be held in Dorset. This is always the highlight of the year for the scouts and parents, who get a whole weeek of peace. After the drenching that we received last time, this year is set to be held in glorious weather and plans are already afoot to make it the best one yet.

Summer camp is usually held on a Greenfield site (no facilities, similar to Boot Camp) where the scouts cook, feed and generally fend for themselves all week. We aim to fill the week with a mixture of on site scouting activities along with a mixture of more adventurous off site ones (including some wet ones).

Clues for where we are going...

• We'll be camping on an island
• The River Piddle runs through the campsite
• It takes about two and a half hours to get there
• The campsite is in the middle of 1400 acres of woodland
• There are many beaches nearby and we'll be doing some watersports whilst on camp

If you want to come you need to bring in a twenty pounds deposit (cheques payable to 1st Sevenoaks Scout Group) by 22nd May.
